A bit of a warehouse find here! We've got a few sets left of our J/A/C/K Volume 2 cassette series. On sale!!

"Back in 2017, Jerome Derradji received a call by one of Chicago’s most renowned record dealer. It went like this: “Hey Jerome, I’ve got all these reel to reel tapes of Chicago House stuff. You want to take a look?” Less than 24 hours later, more than 160 reels were purchased and safely hauled back to the Still Music office and Jerome got to work. Around 50 of these tapes are Dj Mixes that were broadcasted on WGCI and WBMX in the mid to late eighties mostly with the Hot Mix 5. They were played on the radio only once and were lost until today. This series is an absolute window back to the heydays of Chicago House music. All the mixes were professionally transferred and remastered to the best of our abilities."

Here’s the 50th release on Stilove4music. The most infamous black label on earth. I’ve started this label in 2005.
At the time, I was hanging out with Delano Smith at his crib in the D and he was getting his music ready for his now defunct and superb Sunday Beat Down Sounds party at Agave with Mike Clark and Norm Talley.

Delano started playing me a few edits he’d made for the night.
I told him let’s release them on a black label and see what happens. That was our first release, the legendary Dj Mode - The Love 4 Music EP - (hence the name of the label - LFM - Stilove4music).

Fast forward 14 years and here’s the 50th release. This time I dug deep into the reel to reel archive of Chicago House music I’ve acquired a good year ago and pulled another three Beat Traxx from 1988.
